Word Index access for SQL Clients

Folks.

I cannot find the answer to this in the documentation or via google ...

Using a 10.2B platform, can SQL clients use word indexed fields

I have tried the contains keyword in a basic SQL select statement but i just get a

select * from pub.NotificationReceived where Subject CONTAINS 'justin';

Error -- 10:01:27 [SELECT - 0 row(s), 0.000 secs] [Error Code: -20024, SQL State: HY000] [DataDirect][OpenEdge JDBC Driver][OpenEdge] Sorry, operation not implemented yet (7484)

Suggesting that word index access is not available in 10.2B

Any assistance appreciated.

Suggests it isn't implemented anywhere.

I saw that KB .. but it is circa Progress 9.1 and looks like it has not been updated

Yeah it's a little confusing which is why I quoted the bit about OpenEdge. OpenEdge refers to all releases after 10.x
