Monstermob are looking for a Progress V9 Programmer to join a small,
dedicated, and enthusiastic team working in the heart of the historical
city of Lancaster.
Monstermob is a leading brand in up and coming wireless entertainment
and uses Progress DB at the heart of its technology systems across the
areas of customer relationship management, content management,
statistics and the web. Progress and SonicMQ also form the foundations
of our application development work.
The person we are looking for has 1 to 2 years experience in Progress
DB, up to version 9, ideally with good experience of Webspeed, SonicMQ
would be advantageous. Alternatively this might suit a solid character
based programmer who is looking for an opportunity to get into Webspeed.
Most importantly, we are looking for an enthusiast who has an all
round interest in technology and computing because we will want you to
get involved in new ideas and new application creation which will
involve having to be adaptable and flexible enough to take on the
challenge of new ways of working and new languages.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with the industry of our
times, working with a young, modern company, and play a part in the
development of the mobile revolution. The two main areas of the role
concentrate on the development of consumer applications and mobile
commerce billing, and reporting systems
We run all our systems on Linux so Unix Shell scripting is taken for
granted, php would be very advantageous as would any knowledge or
previous experience of other web or mobile technologies.
