Job Title: Progress Developer
Reporting to: IT Team Leader
Job Description
Progress Developer experienced with version 9 and 10, (OpenEdge) required for role in Sheffield, England. My client develops in both CHUI and GUI and use the AppServer. They use the full gamete of Progress technologies including Webspeed and Sonic.
· Analysis of user and system requirements.
· Development of IT systems solutions in conjunction with senior, team leader and appropriate users.
· Provide advice and guidance to other staff members regarding program solutions.
· User support, with guidance where necessary
· Appropriate maintenance and updating of the Job Request system
· Actively promote best practice, liaising with other IT team members to ensure that common procedures are adhered to and any weakness identified and addressed
· To identify, evaluate and report risks to your line manager or the Operational Risk & Compliance Manager
· To make suggestions for improvement and complete preventive actions in order to comply with the Quality Management Standard and reduce potential complaints
· Performance of reasonable duties as specified from time to time by senior IT management
· Provide support outside normal office hours when reasonably requested by senior IT management
· To understand personal work ability and identify targeted improvement
