Responsibilities: This position will be a contract to hire. Our client is
only interested in candidates that truly seek permanent employment in
Birmingham, AL. Telecommuting is not an option. This person must be on
site in Birmingham, AL. Under the direct supervision of a Programming
Supervisor or Information Systems Department Manager, formulates/defines
system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or
modify complex information systems. Responsible for completion of specific
aspects of designed projects. Develops, maintains, documents, codes, tests
and debugs programs and ensures their satisfactory functioning. Develops,
maintains, and documents the system. Competent to work in several phases of
applications systems analysis, system administration and programming
activities. Capable of handling basic situations without supervision, and
displays ability to cover more difficult situations without supervision. Has
general understanding of the business or function for which application is
designed. May be required to work after hours to meet specific project or
task objectives, or as requested by the Programming Supervisor or
Information Systems Department Manager. May work under deadlines and will be
responsible for on-call. Should always conduct themselves in a professional
manner and promote company policies.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business or
comparable field of study or Technical training equivalent. The qualified
candidate will have a minimum of 7 years in Progress Development systems
analysis and systems administration experience. This person must also have
active experience with Crystal Reports.
