Position: Programmer Analyst
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Duration: Permanent Full Time
Experience: Progress (V: 7, 8 or 9 Character), Webspeed
Salary: Competitive salary based upon candidates qualifications.
Our company is needing to fill a position in our IT department.
Qualifications:
Looking for candidate with at least 5 years experience in Progress
development.
Responsibilities include:
* Progress v7, 8, or 9 maintenance programming of a heavily
modified WDS II ERP package running on Unix platform.
* Experience with Progress Programming Ver 7, 8, or 9 with
character-based language important.
* Prefer someone with 3 - 5 years experience.
* The company runs the Progress-based (language and database)
WDS-II application software on a Unix operating system.
* WDS is an integrated ERP system (including accounting &
financials) that is use to run the different businesses;
repair, overhaul, assembly etc.
* Webspeed experience would be a plus. Webspeed is used for
the Customer ordering system from the internet.
* This position will initially be providing front-line user
support by accepting emails and calls.
* This will require good analysis skills and patience.
* Must have excellent communications skills, be able to work
with minimal supervision and take responsibility for
modifications impact to the integrated system.
* WDS support is currently provided for 3 sites.
* Future long-term projects are assigned as required.
* Foreign language is a plus, Spanish, French or German.
* No H1B's considered.
