printing from background queues

Hi, Syteline 4.01.01 NT Citrix Metaframe

We get a printer error when running a report through a background queue:

11/30/99 11:30:16 Started process: item/item04-r.p
Unable to create Printer Device Context: printer. (4110)
11/30/99 11:30:16 Finished process: item/item04-r.p

The individual user always prints to "printer" while Citrix directs to the
specific, default at the time, printer.

How do we set up the queue/printer/citrix to achieve printing?

Make sure the printer is set up on your Citrix NT server. The user needs to
perform a "printer setup" and select the NT server printer, not his default
windows printer "mapped" to his ICA session.

I had a similar problem, only without using Citrix.

Try to setup a user and submit a report with \\server\printer_share
destination. I think the error message is referring to device not being
available on the machine where the process (background queue) is executing.
