i'm not sure what his current title is at the moment
but it's his name on most every progress book ( documentations )
i share the same love for john sadd as i do for bill
because of all the grief he's ever caused, he's just awful
but hey that's just me, i'm still young and stupid ( and abit of a hot head )
one of the things that i personally take with me is that
a good application ( or product for that matter ) improves on peoples life
and a bad one makes their life miserable, or something like that
( i think that's something alot of us 4gl programmers can identify with )
i've been using adm and dynamics for some time now
but it recently came up when i needed to go back and hit the books
the docs do a terrible job explaining adm and dynamics
which is a shame because they're a beautiful, simple concept at heart
and it makes the learning curve that much harder
he tends to ramble on and on for hundreds of pages
about the most minute tedious details
there's no overview, no conclusion ( a few pictures would be nice )
we've all gone through alot of light hearted tutorials ( languages, api's etc. )
that you can wiz through in a few days and start working
with progress you'll be scratching your head for month
over time i've came to rely on competing products docs
database concepts, mechanisms, structures, programming concepts etc.
casper don't be so up tight, this isn't peg
it's okay to complain about the government, windows whatever
you don't have to accept everything
. I was a bit surprised with so much frustration in a message especially compared to your other posts which makes much more sense.
