There are various articles about this issue in the Progress Knowledge Base. Did you already look at them?
It is usually a problem with the DLC environment variable (in the registry or in the .INI file) not referencing a valid installation directory.
But it might also be in the configuration settings of your "Piew" editor.

hi vinhng,

Try to remove env excu file in Setting / Option (in Piew). And run /p file again

Hope that helps.

Another scenario when this message pops up is when you the ini can not be found, for example when you specified a file or registry base key that does not exist. You should check the values of the -basekey and -ininame ( or -ini ) parameters. If these are correct you might want to have a look of the contents of that ini in the [Startup] section.

Agree with RealHeavyDude, it´s a matter of files or paths that doesn't exist.

When we used Windows XP, the progress path was "c:\archivos de programa\progress\".

We had the same error message tan you when we moved to Windows 7, and simply copied the links. But the path was now "C:\Program Files\Progress\" or, in some cases, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Progress\"

The solution was editing the links and the .INI files.
