With the DataDirect Connect for ODBC 7.1.4 release (June 2014), the DataDirect Connect for ODBC for SQL Server Legacy driver is deprecated. The SQL Server Legacy ODBC driver will not be released as part of any future DataDirect Connect release. Equivalent functionality is available via the DataDirect Connect for ODBC for SQL Server Wire Protocol driver. The 7.1 release of the SQL Server Legacy ODBC driver will continue to be supported per our standard product support lifecycle. Customers are notified to plan to replace their use of the SQL Server Legacy ODBC driver with the SQL Server Wire Protocol ODBC driver prior to retirement of the 7.1 Connect release.
