Got the following message from out Symix account manager today. Are there
any Symix PEGers out there doing Job Transactions with DC RF units? If so
how are you getting it done? Was it custom?

From our Symix Rep:
Are you aware that out of the box RF does not support any of the Time &
Attendance (clock-in/clock-out) nor Job Transactions (Run, Move, Setup,
Direct, Indirect and Machine) transactions? Just learned this one myself...

Also does anybody out there know whether DCglu (Trinity Product) can handle
these job transactions?

We have written custom job transactions for RFDC. If you want more info

Mmmh Symix does not but... Doesn't Syteline 4.5 / 5.0 ? What's the new
module SyteRF ? Wher you can define your RF screen parameters ... I've seen
a demo a few months ago ...

The idea, I think, if fairly simple use the Wedge database with a very high
update rate and fo the write into the dc tables ...

I've visited a site that had it working a year ore more ago with Symbol
hardware, it now seems like they integrated the "screen" formatting required
to use with RF hand held terminals ...

Eric.
