DB creation on Raw

Hello Progress Users;

has anyone created Database on raw devices under aix environment. I am trying to create db on a raw devices but unable to do so.

environment:
Progress Enterprise DB v9.1B patch 13
Progress App. Server version 9.1B atch 13
O/s: AIX 5L (32Bit version)


Any comments/suggestion? I would appreciate if someone help me in this regrad.

what do you mean by RAW devices. ( sorry not very good with abbreviations)
