Neither are we.

License update does work. It's hard to help you without seeing an error message.
When we are click on Done button after enter new licence key.. Window just closed without saying anything and progress.cfg will not update.

Do we have some log.. if our setup.exe have some wrong.

Let's start simple....

1) What is your old Progress version: Version #, Operating system, products installed

2) What are you trying to do with with the license update? Change user count or install new products or what?

Progress version - 102b(32 bit) on windows 2008 server 64bit.
Just license update only..
Product name - OE Studio and Client Networking

There are no annual licenses for Progress products. There is annual maintenance renewal, but that's just paperwork. It doesn't involve installing anything.

There are some license types that expire, e.g. for subscription-based licenses like PSDN.

If you run Start | Programs | OpenEdge | Config, what does it show for your installed products beside "Expiration Date:"?

What Rob said.... also please include the exact information about what you are trying to update from to, like you aren't trying to update from 32 bit to 64 bit (different product) or add any additional products.

Some of those trial/eval licenses don't allow updating in place in older versions of Progress. They actually require reinstalling. Don't do that yet, let's find out what you really need to do (if anything).

So maybe a better question than what you want to do is: why do you think you need to do this? Did you receive an error message? Do you have an expiry date that is approaching? Or did someone just tell you to do it?

That comment about a 2015 license makes me wonder, because there isn't such a thing.

If all else fails and you cannot get license update to work just do a full install somewhere else and copy progress.cfg to the target.

We don't understand this stuff about the license expiring next month -- so far as I can recall only subscription based licenses like PSDN development licenses expire. You aren't allowed to use those for deployment so "We have many servers (32 and 64bit) and client system..." would seem to be a problem. Then again you did elaborate slightly and say that you are trying to update OE Studio and Client Networking so maybe this is a PSDN developer license?

It would go a long ways to help us understand if you would simply post the output of "showcfg" (feel free to mask the control codes).

On the other hand... if the real problem is "We have many servers (32 and 64bit) and client system with all have different" and you just want a single common progress.cfg then, so long as you have purchased the proper licenses (and can prove it when you are audited -- and they *DO* audit licenses quite aggressively these days), you can simply install Progress somewhere from scratch and copy progress.cfg as needed. You will need a different .cfg file for each unique & legal combination of licenses -- usually people do this kind of thing for client installs where they are automatically pushing lots of identical clients. Not so much for servers, those are commonly one of a kind.
