    Using Progress 10.0B with TLS1.2

Nope. The support for TLS 1.1 and 1.2 was introduced with OE 11.7.6. https://knowledgebase.progress.com/articles/Article/What-version-of-SSL-and-or-TLS-does-Progress-OpenEdge-use

Webspeed on trial version of Progress 4gl

Totally understand your situation. The company I work for has the same issue with part of the work force in several countries forced to stay at home due to the lockdown. As far as I know Progress provides a classroom edition of the development environment. But they only provide it for the...

    Question Deleting a dynamic dataset

I don't want to play the devil's advocate but I still like the concept of widget pools when using dynamic handle-based objects. If you don't do anything, by default, all dynamic handle-based objects end up in the unnamed widget-pool of the ABL session. They will remain there even when the...

Question Enhance existing Windows ABL application to use single sign-on/LDAP

IMHO - if my understanding is correct then the concept of OEAG sucks in a big, big way: You have at least 2 separate connections - meaning the second connection is a separate SSL session ( if you use TLS to secure you connections which you should anyway ). This allows for attacks stealing...

Question Enhance existing Windows ABL application to use single sign-on/LDAP

Forgot to add: I use .NET objects for the certificate fetching and the HTTP request from the ABL GUI client ... The ABL, unfortunately, does not and maybe never will support SSL client certificates on socket connections. That's the why for the .NET objects.

Question Enhance existing Windows ABL application to use single sign-on/LDAP

There are a lot of different answers - and most likely none might fit your requirements ... Additionally to 2FA we are also required to perform location aware access control. For example when user crosses borders he might still need access to one of our applications but due to regulation...

    Answered GUI tools on OE10

Just for the record - or playing the devils advocate - in the latest OE11 (11.7.5) you will also find the Progress Developer Studio which is basically an Eclipse plug-in.

    Answered GUI tools on OE10

Sorry - what exactly is your question about? Is it about options to build a more modern UI using Progress Openedge? Is it about the Development tool ( AppBuilder ) vs. Progress Developer Studio ( which is an Eclipse plug-in )? Anyway OE10 is completely out-dated and not supported anymore. If...
